History
The HDA workshops spawned from informal interactions and research visits between the three research groups led by Markus Hegland (ANU, Australia), Ian Sloan (UNSW, Australia), and Michael Griebel (U Bonn & Fraunhofer SCAI, Germany). The first two workshops were held at ANU in Canberra (HDA05, HDA07). The third and fourth workshops were held at UNSW in Sydney (HDA09) and Bonn (HDA2011). Subsequent workshops have alternated between Australia and Germany: in Canberra (HDA2013) and Bonn (HDA2015).
Steering Committee
Starting from 2016 there will be a formal steering committee, consisting initially of
- Jochen Garcke (U Bonn & Fraunhofer SCAI, Germany)
- Michael Griebel (U Bonn & Fraunhofer SCAI, Germany)
- Markus Hegland (ANU, Australia)
- Frances Kuo (UNSW, Australia)
- Ian Sloan (UNSW, Australia)
The task of the steering committee will be to determine the scope and location of future HDA workshops.
